From Dr. Hertzberg - Calling Men to Prayer

One of the great opportunities and privileges we have as Christians is to come together to ASK our Lord in prayer. To "ask" of God is both commanded and encouraged in a multitude of Scriptures - with the promise that our Lord will hear and answer. The converse is also true: "we have not because we ask not."

Men, please consider joining me and other CHA men any Thursday morning (when classes are in session), from 7:00-7:30 AM, to ASK of the Lord on behalf of our school, families and children. We meet in the large conference room in the Central Building.

If Thursdays are not possible, then please consider joining All Parents Prayer on Mondays at 8:30 AM in the chapel.

"And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him." I John 5:14-15

Important Information

Continuous Enrollment at CHA

Several times over the past year you have heard those of us in the administration refer to an idea called “Continuous Enrollment.” Continuous enrollment presumes that a student at CHA will continue to be enrolled year by year, until a family informs us, in a timely manner, that he or she will not do so.

This memo describes the details associated with our move to continuous enrollment. Please take a few minutes to read this information so you are informed about what these changes will mean. The memo contains important dates you will not want to miss.

Save on Taxes and
Help Fund CHA Financial Aid

Apply before the end of 2018 to receive a significant credit on your Illinois state tax return. The "Invest in Kids" private school tax credit allows you to direct 75% of your state income tax liability to Christian Heritage Academy, helping us fund tuition for needy families wishing to attend CHA.

You will pay taxes. Why not help families join our community in the process? This is not a program that benefits only high income households. Any taxpayer can save money.

You must obtain your credit before December 31, 2018 so act now. Click the button below to learn more. If you have questions, email Mr. Tim Dinkelman , or call him at 847-446-5252.

Raptor Visitor Management System

We are excited to further enhance our parent/visitor check-in/out process. Starting Monday, November 5, we will implement the Raptor Visitor Management System. This is similar to systems used in many schools and churches to register campus guests.

The Raptor System will replace our existing manual log-in books and will allow guests to print their own name badges after scanning a state-issued ID. The system will also enhance our ability to account for guests in case of emergency.

A self-serve kiosk will be located in the front lobby to ease the check-in/out process.

NEW Financial Aid Processing System

NEW! CHA has begun a new partnership with FACTS Management System. Beginning with all 2019-20 school year financial aid applications, our financial aid process will be managed by the FACTS Management team.

The application process for financial aid for the 2019-20 school year will begin early in November 2018. All returning families who are interested in financial aid for next year must complete a financial aid application by 1/31/19 for priority consideration. Look for more information in the coming weeks.

Aftercare Update

A few new procedures to note:

  • PK-Grade 3 Aftercare is now in Room 101.
  • Grades 4-12 Aftercare continues in the Library.
  • Pick up for all grades is now at the N-3 Door (instead of the N-1 Door).
  • The new phone number to call to for pick up is 847-881-1304.
Please contact Kathy Severson if you have any questions.
