Students Give Back During Spring Break 2018
Several Walker’s students volunteered their time over spring break, participating in a service trip to Texas for Habitat for Humanity. A group of 10 students traveled with Assistant Athletic Director Mimi Duran P'18 and Director of External Affairs Michelle Helmin P'19 to Bryan/College Station, Texas, working with the local chapter of Habitat. The group painted, caulked, insulated and sodded to help build houses for low-income residents of Bryan and College Station. When they weren't hard at work, the group enjoyed down time in the community, visiting Texas A&M University, exploring a Houston rodeo, and attending a Texas A&M softball game against UConn.
