The Class of 2018 led the Walker's community in the School song during Wednesday's Senior Goodbye Chapel, in which seniors Saige Tapper-Young '18, Caroline Strapp '18, Keeley Duran '18 and Holly Paul '18 presented heartfelt speeches reflecting on their time at Walker's.

106th Commencement Speaker Announced
Walker's is pleased to announce that Tiffany Dufu, author and women’s leadership expert, will be our 2018 Commencement keynote speaker. Tiffany is a catalyst-at-large in the world of women’s leadership and the author of Drop the Ball, a memoir and manifesto that shows women how to cultivate the single skill they really need in order to thrive: the ability to let go. According to foreword contributor Gloria Steinem, Drop the Ball is “important, path-breaking, intimate and brave.”

Student Selected as Finalist in National Writing Competition
Hooray Sunray to Kristen St. Louis '21 who was selected as one of three finalists in the Powerful Voices category in the 2018 Yes! National Student Writing Competition for her piece "Wipe Your Tears." The following excerpt from Kristin's submission was selected to appear in the Literary Gems section of the Yes! Magazine website: “So, muneca, cry. Cry for the limitations the world will throw at you each and every day. Sob for the hardships you will face. But muneca, once you have cleared your tears away, lift your head up and look at the horizon. A new day dawns, and when it does, your future will be brighter than the sun.”

Host Families Needed for 2018-2019
In an effort to best support our international student population, we are looking for host families for the 2018-2019 school year. This is an exciting opportunity for both our new students and our current families as the exchange of students across borders is truly priceless. We are looking for Walker's families, either day or boarding, who are interested in being year-long hosts for ASSIST students.

Prepare to Get Muddy!
Be a warrior and fight for the courageous children who are battling blood disorders and pediatric cancer every day at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center by participating in Nate's Junior Warrior Run.
