Molly Thacker '24, Nellie Kenney '25, Charlotte Furia '25 and Lexi Donshik '24 represented Walker's in the United States Final for Kids Lit Quiz, hosted by Walker's in Ferguson Theatre Thursday night. Walker's team was among 23 teams of four in Heat C, and beat out many of the other, more seasoned teams. Hooray Sunray!

Brianna Duba '19 Named NFHCA High School All-Region
Brianna Duba ’19 has tallied another credential to her already decorated senior year. In field hockey, Brianna was named GoPlay National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) High School Southern New England All-Region. She is one of 125 players throughout the country to be named all-region at the high school level.

Spread the Word: Free Theater Workshop
On February 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., The Ethel Walker School Winter Play cast will lead children ages 10 and up through a series of workshops on sword fighting and pretend hand-to-hand combat along with a demonstration of adult-sized puppets from UConn's Puppet Arts Program, and a tour of Walker's costume shop. Please spread the word to families in the area who may be interested - this workshop is FREE to those to RSVP by Friday, February 15. Register below:


Students Participate in Memory Project for Children from Syria
Under the leadership of Walker's Head of Community Partnerships Jocelyn Feliciano '19, 18 Walker's students volunteered to draw 18 portraits for children from Syria. Thousands of Syrian children are growing up in refugee camps not knowing life outside a barbed wire fence. The portraits our students create for them carry messages of kindness and hope from across the globe.

Parents and Alumnae Provide Snacks and Sweet Treats During Midterm Exams
Thank you to The Ethel Walker School Parents Association (EWSPA) and Alumnae Association for delivering delicious treats during midterm study breaks this week. Students enjoyed a popcorn machine with toppings, and fresh fruit and pastries.

The next parent gathering will be held on Monday, February 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Beaver Brook Living Room. Enjoy refreshments and conversation with Head of School Dr. Meera Viswanathan and other administrators to hear more about what's happening at Walker's. Parents and guardians are welcome to join their student in Abra's Dining Hall for dinner prior to the gathering. Unable to attend?
