Walker's Holds Mock Election Wednesday, November 2
As the country prepares for next Tuesday's Presidential election, Walker's held its own school-wide mock election on campus Wednesday, November 2. Registered students, faculty and staff cast their ballots for presidential nominees Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Gary Johnson, or Jill Stein. Prior to voting, students were divided by class to discuss the issues most important to them: women, immigration, and gun violence. A night of election programming (required for boarders, optional for day students) will be held in lieu of study hall on Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Bell Library.

Walker's Hosts Annual Elizabeth Olsen Marshall Dance Concert
Walker's dance program presented its annual Elizabeth Olsen Marshall Dance Concert on Wednesday, November 2 in Ferguson Theater. This year, the concert was in collaboration with the New England Preparatory School Dance Festival, and Walker's hosted dancers from Miss Porter's, Loomis Chaffee, Taft, and Springfield College as part of a student choreography showcase. Dancers presented original choreography and answered questions from the audience following the performances. The dance concert is held each year in honor of Ms. Marshall, the first head of dance at Walker's and the founder of Dance Workshop.

From the College Counseling Office
It was great to see so many parents on campus last weekend, and we really enjoyed having the chance for conversation with senior parents who met with us individually, and others who stopped by during our drop-in session. We were delighted to hear from many girls that they took advantage of the long weekend to visit colleges! For those looking for other opportunities for college visits, keep in mind the days before Thanksgiving as many colleges are open for visitors that week.
