Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
Walker's seniors Lexi King '17 and Maddy Lamagna '17 signed letters of intent this week to play their respective sports at the Division I collegiate level. Lexi has committed to play field hockey at Brown University, and Maddy Lamagna '17 has committed to play lacrosse at Quinnipiac University. Hooray Sunray, Lexi and Maddy!

Veronica Garcia '18 and Keeley Duran '18 Named Athletes of the Week

  • Veronica Garcia '18, Varsity Soccer (New Haven, CT): "Quick and deceptive on the field; committed" Veronica lifted the team to victory vs. Westover after we went down 0-1 early in the game. After Westover scored their goal, Veronica's tone on the field changed to steeled determination. From that point there was no stopping her as she weaved and dodged through the Westover defense. Veronica scored a hat trick (3 goals in one game) to help us earn us the win.
  • Keeley Duran '18, Varsity Field Hockey (Barkhamsted, CT): "Selfless, Composed, Diligent" Above all, Keeley is a teammate. She believes in teamwork and the strength of her team as a whole. While quietly leading, she has helped her teammates build trust in each other, which is an ingredient of a successful team.
