Walker's Weekly

November 10, 2017

Walker's 6th and 7th graders were challenged in math lab this week to work together to make various shapes with an unbroken rope. Starting with simple squares and pentagons and moving up to 3-dimensional octahedrons and pyramids, the girls surprised themselves by what they could accomplish together.

Honoring Our Veterans
During morning meeting on Friday, the Walker's community took time to honor our veterans, including three staff members in our Engineering department and many family members of faculty, staff and students. Associate Head of School Amy Wheeler shared her thoughts about her dad's four years of service in the navy.

In honor of Veterans Day, Walker's Random Acts of Kindness club will be holding a fundraiser on Saturday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. down by the fields to purchase items for care packages to send soldiers overseas in time for the holidays.
