Students Take Action for Climate Change

Upper School students are making a case for climate change, taking classroom learning into the community and engaging in projects and activities that are sure to make a global impact. A School With Heart During Wellness Week

A wise man said long ago: “The part can never be well unless the whole is well.” Those words, uttered by Greek philosopher Plato, rang true at the Academy as it dedicated a full week to promoting wellness of the body, mind and soul. It began with Movement Monday, then flowed into Thirsty Tuesday, Wellness Wednesday, Thoughtful Thursday and Fantastic Friday. >>More on Wellness Week at the Academy.

Gulliver Gives: Thanksgiving Season

Gulliver is committed to developing global citizens who are socially responsible, inspired and engaged. Our students and families gave back to the community in many ways this Thanksgiving season. They built homes in Mexico City, engaged with an orphanage in Honduras, built bikes for at-risk youth, held drives that gave our entire community the chance to contribute to causes, celebrated Best Buddies Friendsgiving and more. >>Read about Gulliver's giving.


Academy Drama Gives Lauded Performances, Earns Awards

In November, Gulliver Academy's Drama Troupe 88015 presented 26 pieces at the Junior Thespians District Festival. The students earned 17 Superior and nine Excellent Ratings, and all qualified for competition at a state level. They also performed back-to-back nights of comedic play Antisocial, and will soon begin preparing for April's play Wizard of Oz. >>All of our award winners.


2018 Fall Sports Wrap-Up

  • The girls' swim team won the 2A State Swimming Championship, while boys' swim team ended their season as the 2A swimming state runner-up.
  • The football team's 8-4 season qualified it for a playoff berth. 
  • The very young boys' golf team had a strong season, and the girls' golf team finished fourth in the district tournament. 
  • In volleyball, the Raiders went 11-11 and were district runners-up. 
  • The girls' cross country team was district runner-up, and both the girls' and boys' teams saw several members achieve personal best times. 
  • Both boys' and girls' bowling had one of their best seasons ever, with the boys finishing 9-4 and the girls finishing 8-2.

Alumni Homecoming Tailgate
On Friday, November 2, the Gulliver Alumni Association welcomed more than 220 alumni, faculty, staff and friends for the annual Alumni Homecoming Tailgate. The afternoon featured food, music, a bounce house and entertainment. It ended with a color war on the field after the football team brought home a win over John Carroll Catholic High School thanks to an exciting comeback effort in the third quarter which catapulted them to a 42-31 victory. >>

Alumni Games - Lacrosse & Soccer
On Saturday, November 24, Gulliver Alumni relived their glory days as Gulliver Raiders and reconnected with old teammates during the alumni lacrosse and soccer games at Sean Taylor ‘01 Memorial Field. Family and friends cheered on the players, everyone enjoyed a delicious BBQ, and soccer alumni had the opportunity to go head to head with the varsity boys' team. >>
