Ravens Take London for New Year’s Day Parade Performances

Members of the Upper School choir, band and orchestra programs traveled to London, England, over the holiday break to participate in several events in conjunction with the 32nd Anniversary London New Year’s Day Parade. Their week-long trip involved several performances, including the LNYDP Festival Concert and the London International Choral Festival Gala Concert.

Lead From Here Education: Teaching Parents About “Growth Mindset”

Students familiar with Ravenscroft’s Lead From Here activities will no doubt remember the “buzz ring” challenge. Now, thanks to a recent parent workshop on the importance of maintaining a growth mindset, so will many of their parents!

Ravenscroft Second Grader Named to NCCU’s Little Royal Court

No matter how old you are, setting a personal goal means committing to the hard work, dedication and follow-through required to achieve success. Just ask Elijah Clary ’28, who earlier this school year was crowned “Little Mr. 1910” after taking second place in the Little Mister and Miss NCCU Pageant.

Lee Horton ’74 Named a United Soccer National Coach of the Year

Lee Horton ’74, longtime coach of both boys and girls soccer at Charlotte Latin School in Charlotte, has been recognized by United Soccer Coaches (formerly National Soccer Coaches Association of America, or NSCAA) as both the Spring Atlantic Region Girls' High School Coach of the Year and the National Girls' High School Coach of the Year for private/parochial schools.

At Ravenscroft, Horton was an All-State midfielder and an All-American goalkeeper and went on to letter in the sport at UNC-Chapel Hill. He was inducted into our Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 ... (read more)
