Dear St. Anne’s Community,
We hope that this letter finds you all enjoying spring in Colorado. As we come to a close of the 2017-2018 school year, the Search Committee would like to provide a brief update on the process for identifying a new Head of School for the 2019-2020 school year.
Over the past several months, the Search Committee has worked closely with our consultants to develop a comprehensive Candidate Information Document (“CID”). The CID is a detailed description of the opportunity available to prospective candidates, and we believe it speaks to what makes St. Anne’s such a special opportunity for our next leader. Over the next several months, our consultants will be reaching out to educational leaders, both nationally and internationally, to recruit promising individuals to apply for our Head of School position. The process involves extensive evaluation of the candidates, including multiple conversations, video interviews, and reference checks. Ultimately, our consultants will present a group of top prospects to the Search Committee in the early fall of this year. The Search Committee will then narrow the list of candidates down to a small group of semi-finalists that will be invited to participate in in-person interviews with the committee.
Upon the conclusion of the semi-finalist visits, the Search Committee will select finalists to meet the entire St. Anne’s community. Each finalist will be spending time with various members of the St. Anne’s community, and there will be opportunities for all parents, faculty, and staff to meet the candidates and provide feedback to the Search Committee.
The Search Committee will then provide a final recommendation to the Board of Trustees, who will meet and make the determination as to which leader is best suited as our next Head of School. The goal is to have the process complete and a Head selected by the end of October 2018.
Our consultants have already indicated that interest in our position is extremely strong. These next few months will largely be quiet in the search process as high-potential applicants are contacted and initial screening is done. We will, of course, endeavor to keep the community updated as additional information and specific dates for visits become available.
