SAINT MARY’S AUCTION 2019: OH, WHAT A NIGHT!
Saint Mary’s School alumnae, parents, and friends gathered at the Pavilion at the Angus Barn, Friday, Feb. 22, for the 2019 school auction to raise funds to purchase and install a much-needed new state-of-the-art sound and light system for historic Pittman Auditorium. A sell-out crowd enjoyed a festive evening of friendship and fundraising. The auction chairs report that the goal has been exceeded for Auction 2019, including successful live and online auctions and sponsorships. Thanks to the 2019 Auction co-chairs - Mary Boney, Liza Williams, Joan Comer Johnston '87C, and Louise Stowe - for organizing a spectacular evening celebrating and fundraising for Saint Mary's School. Thanks to everyone who supported this year’s auction in any way! It was a resounding success. Enjoy this gallery of photos from the Auction.

ASH WEDNESDAY AT SAINT MARY'S
The Saint Mary’s campus community answered the invitation to the observance of a holy Lent, during our 2019 Ash Wednesday Chapel, March 6, at 8 a.m., in the Saint Mary’s Chapel. The Rev. Sarah Wilson Woodard ’73HS, an alumna and Episcopal deacon, was guest clergy and homilist. Ashes were imposed. Holy Eucharist was offered following the Ash Wednesday service with Chaplain Ann Bonner-Stewart as celebrant.

ALUMNAE GRANDPARENTS TO SERVE AS GRANDPARENTS DAY HOSTS

This event is held on the eve of Grandparents and Grandfriends Day, April 12, 2019, for current grandparents and special friends of our students. Click here for more information.

THE HAMS – A SAINT MARY’S FAMILY
Saint Mary's dad Bruce Ham lost his wife, Lisa Permar Ham, to cancer while they were raising their three young daughters. At that time, oldest daughter Bailey Ham ’15, was choosing a high school, and she chose Saint Mary’s. Bailey was followed at Saint Mary’s by sisters Lucy Ham ’18 and Annie T. Ham ’21, a current sophomore. The Ham family believes in supporting Saint Mary’s with gifts to the Annual Fund to ensure they pay it forward as a grateful current family and pay it back as alumnae. Click on the photo to hear their story in their own words. Join the Ham family in supporting our alma mater by making a gift to Saint Mary’s today at www.sms.edu/give.

MARCH IS PHONATHON MONTH
March is Saint Mary's Phonathon month, and we will be calling alumnae and friends to ask for your support of the Annual Fund. We hope you'll pick up the phone and make your gift to Saint Mary's Annual Fund for fiscal year 2018-2019, which ends June 30. Did you know? On average, just 21 percent of alumnae give. Imagine what we could do if we could increase giving this year!
