"An Evening With Colum McCann"

Many of you have already noted with great excitement that Colum McCann, the widely read and highly acclaimed Irish author of six novels and three collections of stories, is coming to speak at Waynflete on February 6. Not surprisingly, given his stature as a writer, the public event on the 6th is unfortunately already Sold Out. While Waynflete’s interest in hosting such an important writer would seem self-evident, you may be wondering why Mr. McCann is interested in coming to Waynflete, particularly since his public appearances are rare these days. Read about what inspired Mr. McCann to speak at Waynflete.

"AUTHENTICITY" Ends Soon

The show in the Waynflete Gallery has enabled visitors of all ages to participate in various reinterpretations of famous “masterpieces.” Come see it (or contribute) before it closes! Read more.

Green Tip: Reduce Paper Towel Use
Start using only one paper towel! Many of us crank that paper towel machine a couple of times before wiping our hands dry. This is simply not necessary! It's time that we dispose of these towel habits. Here's the game plan for the one-towel approach:

  1. Shake your hands free of water for a few seconds
  2. Grab one paper towel and fold it, utilizing either side of the towel
  3. Brag to your friends about your newfound skill
