June 30 is approaching!
The Waynflete Fund is our annual fundraising priority that helps create incredible opportunities for our students every day. We ask our entire community to come together in support of our school each year, and we are sincerely grateful to everyone who has already donated. Questions about health forms?
Health Coordinator Abby Lord will be available in the Lower School Atrium the morning of Thursday, May 30 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. to help with any questions about health forms. Computers will be available for parents to use to complete their requirements. Please stop by!

It is time to update your child's information in Magnus, our healthcare portal. Parents should have received an email with details about how to log in and what is required. Click here for detailed instructions. Please note: students may not participate in any Waynflete activities including attending class, physical education, athletics, preseason practices, LEAP Week (for Middle School students), or Outdoor Experience (for Upper School students) until all required forms are completed and submitted to the school.

Please Claim Your Belongings Before Break - Remaining Lost & Found Items Will be Donated
In these last couple of weeks leading up to summer break, please encourage your child to look for lost belongings. We also invite parents to stop by campus to take a look as well.

Lost & Found Locations:

  • Gym
  • Arts Center - under the entrance stairs
  • Lower School - lobby
  • Middle School - outside Middle School office
  • Upper School - in the Student Center

Remaining items will be donated to local charities.

Don’t forget to honor your graduate or support the student in your life by visiting the Gear Store. We have Waynflete pennants, water bottles, mugs, sweatshirts, and more–all perfect items to show off your Waynflete pride. The Gear Store is open Monday, June 3 from 2:45-3:45 or by appointment at gear@waynflete.org.

Green Tip: No Straw Please!
Little as they are, single-use plastic straws have a big impact on the environment. Consider asking for your drink without a straw, or bringing your own reusable glass, stainless steel, or bamboo straw along with you. Click here to read more about the impact of straws on our environment.

Lower School Field Day – Tomorrow!
All Lower School students will participate in Field Day at the Fore River Fields on Friday, May 24. The students will travel by bus to the fields to engage in activities led by current Grade 5 students. Please be sure your child dresses in comfortable clothing and footwear and don’t forget sunscreen and preventative tick measures! It will be a morning of energetic outdoor fun!

4-5 Play Performance on June 5
On Tuesday, June 5, Grade 4-5 students will perform their end-of-year play in Franklin Theater at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Each performance will last about an hour and parents are invited to attend.

Last-Day-of-School Lower School Family Picnic on June 5
Lower School families are invited to attend a picnic on the last day of school, Wednesday, June 5, at the East End Playground and Park. We will begin as soon as people arrive after dismissal (around 12:30 p.m.). Contact your Class Parent if you have any questions.

Afterschool will join Last-Day-of-School Picnic 
On Wednesday, June 5, the Afterschool program will join the Lower School family picnic at the East End playground. We will ride the bus to the playground at noon. ECers in Afterschool will not be having naps that day but will join the picnic to celebrate the last day of school. Remember to send a picnic lunch for your child. Please email enrichment@waynflete.org if your child plans to attend Afterschool on June 5. As always, you may register and make payment online.

Full Fun Days on June 6 and 7
The Afterschool program will have “Full Fun Days” on June 6 and 7, after school gets out on Wednesday, June 5. Students in EC to Grade 5 may sign up online.

Middle School

    Grade 8 Parents: the last musical performance is TONIGHT!
    Thursday, May 23:

    • 6:00 p.m.: call time for actors
    • 7:00 p.m.: performance in Franklin Theater
    • Cast members are expected to stay briefly to help strike the show. Reception for parents and cast members in the Arts Center after the performance.

    Friday, May 24: Grade 8 pancake breakfast during B Block (first period)
    • Advisors make breakfast for students and celebrate the musical! We encourage students to attend. 
    • Students also have the option to sleep in and arrive at school anytime before the start of second period (9:10 a.m.)

    Prom is Saturday June 1
    Prom attendees will enjoy a wonderful evening from 8:30–11:30 p.m. at the Falmouth Country Club (1 Congressional Drive, Falmouth). Tickets for this event are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Upper School students may attend in pairs, groups, or individually. Attire is semi-formal. Click here for details. 

    Class of 2019 Year-End Events
    Congratulations to our Seniors! Baccalaureate takes place on campus on Thursday, June 6 and is for seniors and their immediate family members. Commencement is Friday, June 7 at 4:00 p.m. All are invited to Merrill Auditorium to celebrate the senior class.

    Commencement Information for Senior Parents
    Parking and shuttle reminder: Waynflete is offering free ten-minute shuttles from campus to Merrill Auditorium starting at 2:25 p.m., leaving every 10-15 minutes until 3:50 p.m. Shuttles are available to faculty, staff, family, and friends and leave from behind Thomas House. The first return bus leaves for Waynflete five minutes after the conclusion of Commencement, with shuttles departing every 6-12 minutes for as long as needed. View the detailed schedule.

    If you need to arrange for special parking for guests at Commencement, please contact Melissa Fox to request a parking pass for a spot outside Merrill Auditorium.
